HUCK is a global magazine exploring the many facets of radical culture, be it surf, skate, snow, music, art, activism, pop culture, the environment and the world
This magazine layout celebrates independence, people who paddle against the flow. Inspired by radical youth culture, roams the globe seeking out artists, activists and creative renegades who are breaking down the old world to build something new. The editon was for the summer and looking to touch people of the surf world.
This was a try to a new editorial format for the summer, incorporating clearer calls to action, improved navigation and a more user-friendly, consumer editorial feel across imagery and messaging. Wanting to produce a magazine that renews, re-affirms and emboldens the Huck brand while still being a sumptuous read. A magazine that clearly resonates more strongly than ever with readers and, in particular, the target Huck market. This was an edition trying to target summer customers. Using strong colours and fonts used in the magazine and adopting the editorial team’s upbeat, friendly voice this is what i came up with.
In a market increasingly dominated by digital, the beautiful magazine design – coupled with engaging content – will help rise above the noise to drive organic traffic to your website.
